TEXAS ROAD TRIP PART THREE

The trip continued out west towards Marfa. The roads got increasingly desolate.
Marfa is an interesting little place. The atmosphere is quite special. There's a roughness to it at the same time as you have an influx of people stirring things up. There are some nice little coffee shops and restaurants popping up. You can get surprisingly good stuff for a place situated pretty much in the middle of nowhere.

We also visited Cobra Rock Boot Company. Beware: they have a 10 month wait list for their highly awesome hand made boots.

Next up was El Cosmico Hotel which offers a selection of refurbished vintage trailers, tee-pees and safari tents. Not to be missed.

Food trailers are a must but great restaurants also include Cochineals and Future Shark - both very much worth a try.

The next morning we headed out of Marfa and towards ghost town Terlingua. On the way, we spotted one of my favourite things: tumbleweed. And lots of it. Given the nature of tumbleweed (it tumbles...) it turned out to be quite a challenge to take a picture.

To be continued...
