A modern classic in Cape Town. Beats most other burgers hands down. Comes with truffle-flavoured chips.
We went up to Stockholm yesterday to meet a retailer of ours. Travelled with Blå Tåget which is fantastic. If you're travelling between Göteborg and Stockholm, you really should check out this great option. It's very good value for money and the food is great. They're incredibly service minded.
They've recently added a bar carriage:
They serve loose tea from Twinings. No tea-bags in sight, which is a good thing.
Breakfast, including home-made scrambled eggs and bacon.
If you're fed up with SJ (Swedish rail) and their questionable levels of service, comfort and ambience, there's now a new alternative thanks to deregulation. Skandinaviska Jernbanor AB has launched Blå Tåget between Göteborg and Stockholm. It's essentially a vintage train, offering train travel the way it used to be. They've purchased a few 1960's carriages from SJ and have had them refurbished in a period-correct manner. The restaurant section offers a nice menu with a selection of dishes and a wine menu, white table cloths and an onboard chef. The journey takes 4 hrs, so just a little bit longer than SJ's highspeed X2000 service but on the other hand you'll find yourself in very spacious, classic 1st-class seats and a charming level of comfort that easily makes up for the longer journey. And the price is actually reasonable and competitive at SEK 900 each way (cheaper on weekends). This initiative deserves to be supported so remember to check it out next time you're travelling between Göteborg and Stockholm.
Going on a nice train, I felt I had to dress up a bit.

Our friends at Proviant arranged a great winetasting last night. Very nice wines supplied by importer Wicked Wine. And all matched up with some great cheeses. Proviant arrange various tastings every 3 weeks - something we can highly recommend.

Start the day by wearing a nice pair of jeans.
