Photographer Scott Pommier is now on tumblr with a mix of old and new photos. We quite like the stuff and it's worth checking out.

Kodak Hawk Eye No 2A, Model B. The camera was probably made some time between 1907 and the 1st World War if my research isn't entirely off. Tempted to try and find a film for it to see if it works. Not sure whether that's at all possible.

Tequila is made from the blue agave plant - which has nothing to do with cactus, contrary to popular belief. The spirit is made in the area around the city of Tequila which is located north-west of Guadalajara. The blue agave plant thrives in the red volcano soil which is found in the area. Production is regulated and can only be produced in the Jalisco region to earn the Tequila name to which Mexico has international rights.
Another common misconception is that a quality tequila contains a worm in the bottle. Bottles containing a worm are not Tequilas but Mezcals, and the presence of a worm is a marketing gimmick from the 1940's. The worm is a larva living on the agave plant. However, presence of larvae suggest infestation which in turn suggests a lower quality product.
Mexicans generally drink Tequila straight. No messy lime and salt.
